Well this is a nice change. If you’ve been on Instagram in the last day or so, there’s a new update that you may (or may not) have noticed.
After news of the upcoming change in algorithm that they announced last week, this is a nice change. Hopefully we’ll be one step closer to (finally) being able to post from the desktop. And working for an agency where I’m managing multiple Instagram accounts, desktop support would be #blessed.
Where do I find this wonderful update?
Just log into your Instagram account in any browser, and where your profile picture used to be in the top-right hand corner, it’s now been replaced with the person silhouette. Next to that is a little speech bubble with a heart inside. Click that and you’ll see the news of your new followers as well as recent post likes.
Note: This is only like the “You” section on the mobile app.
At this time, you can’t see what the people you’re following are up to on the desktop version of Instagram, but perhaps that update is to follow shortly.
